Think, Think & Think: as it tolls goose egg

Think, Think & Think: as it tolls goose egg

Happy 63rd Independence Day

I won’t be very mellifluent today.
We lionise Independence Day. But don't we think that it’s a cod. They speak about India shining…… but where?

Please, don’t quote me wrong. I am Indian and I love my Motherland. But what tickles my senses are a series of activities, I came across today.....

The dulcet zephyr wakes me and

  • I move out of the room and find a Hombre well dressed in “kurta”, jeans, Reebok Sneaker & Puma bag celebrating Independence. Great.......
  • Next I come across this Miss dolled up in jeans and skimpy T-shirt happily embracing and acting a stately handclasp to wish Independence. Amazing…...
  • I locomote further and find many such amazingly commotions……
  • But the well – nigh, captivating vista witnessed is the 2*3 inches national flag which , dangles on their shirts above the heart. Symbolizing a direct connect between the national flag and the soul, and sleeve (think of it the National Flag hanging over the sleeves). Put's me in a position to tickle..... Is it true? Does an unearthly unite subsists?
  • I read the updates on Facebook, posted by my acquaintances. It seems all are basking in the felicity of being Independent. Mindboggling…….
  • Next to flame it up, I encounter stupefied texts on my mobile stating: I love My India: Just forward after adding your name and see where “Your Name” reaches till August 15th. What a Bummer……… It is more to do with witnessing the longevity of your name rather than showing patriotism. Why should my name be announced when I celebrate Independence? Why

I am wholly indisputable that, this is not for what our freedom fighters crusaded for. They must not have disgorged blood for such Independence. Today, is a wondrous day and it shudders my spine to cerebrate of the times years ago, when our beloved compaders witnessed mortality to make India and Indians Shining

Does attaching the National Flag above your heart, destine the inner soul connection with patriotism and Nationality? Think. Sending Texts of such type show more of your name furtherance in lieu of feting Independence.

Rather than Saltating on “Mere Desh Ki Dharti” and stigmatizing it as an item song we should do something formative. Let‘s come alive. Instead of slumbering for 364 days, lets be on the ball. Let’s redress the fallacious. And make India truly shining. It’s indeed backbreaking to, call forth the tone of humanness but change is postulated.

As I cease I take heed to someone playing “The FIFA Cup 2010 Song” and this cogitates me “in sixes and seven”.
I hope the thoughts crusades all who are rejoicing today and vellicates their psyche.

Think, think & think: as it tolls goose egg.

Leadership: If you don’t know where are you going why should someone follow you……………

A lot is being talked about leadership and the traits a visionary leader should be blessed with.

If a man is called to be a street sweeper he should sweep streets as Beethoven composed music or Shakespeare poetry. He should sweep streets as well that the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say “here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well”.

- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

As said by Robin Sharma in his latest best seller “The leader who had no title” you need not to be authoritative to be a leader, every human capital can be a leader in his or her own endeavour. Probably the most important thing a leader of the future years would need is to build up trust amongst his followers. Rather than being judgemental about things a future leader should be focused to build relationships or say being empathetic. Trust is all you have and when it is doomed in the darkness of betrayal what an organization looses is more devastating than the revenue or goodwill gained. The momentum of this impact shakes the foundation of any organization.

Ask any group of business people the question “what do effective leaders do?” and you will get a plethora of responses all sugar coated and gloomy. Some might coat it: that leaders set strategy, they build a culture so on and so forth. Then ask them “what should leaders do?” and then you can expect a response: leaders are meant to be giving results. But the question lies underneath as to HOW?
And to answer this in words of “Bill George” Professor at Harvard business School: Leadership is not about the skills but the character of the leader and the person within. “The most important thing a leader must have is authentic voice within an authentic self.” It only comes when you as a leader have a genuine concern for a person, which again is linked to understanding of the human behaviour. It becomes obligatory for a leader to understand emotions and having a sense of purpose and mission of how being a leader you want to lead so that everyone in the organization is congruent with the values and mission of the organization.
Thus to reason out I would say that a leader needs to be empathetic and have a relentless desire to build capacity around them thus they need to be teachers.
Stay well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
